Softwashing is simply a technique that Power and Pressure washers use for sensitive surfaces like House Siding, or to clean and disinfect a surface without any damaging pressure.
The Softwashing process usually involves pump spraying, downstreaming or X-Jetting a cleaning solution on the dirty surface. The cleaning solution kills organic growth, lifts grease and build up, and loosens the surface contaminants. It is then left to dwell for up to 45 minutes. After it has dwelled the cleaning solution is rinsed off with very low pressure. Most likely the same pressure as a standard house garden hose. This process is repeated as necessary until a desired clean is reached. Usually it only takes one application as the operator can increase or reduce their cleaning solution potency.
Softwashing is ideal for cleaning houses, decks, fences, patios, eaves troughs and roofs because the operator lets the cleaning solution do its job and not damaging pressure. Softwashing is meant for heavily soiled surfaces that have organic growth like mold and algae. It can also remove grease and dirty build ups, or restore and revive surfaces back to life.
